Cucumber Yogurt Sauce
- 2 Cucumbers grated (or finely chopped)
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 cups Plain Yogurt (thick style)
- 2 cloves Garlic, crushed
- Olive Oil
- Dried Mint Leaves
- Dried or Fresh Dill
- Sprinkle Cucumber with Salt and let stand for 10 minutes.
- Squeeze out excess water.
- Add Salt, Yogurt and Garlic. Mix well.
- Drizzle Olive Oil on top. Sprinkle with Mint and Dill.
- Refrigerate until fully chilled.
This sauce is a delicious side to any type of Turkish meat or rice dish. It’s also yummy eaten plain with pita bread.
