Fresh Green Beans & Tomato Dish
- 1 lb. Fresh Green Beans
- ¼ c. Olive Oil
- 1 Onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, sliced
- 2 Tomatoes, grated
- ½ tsp. Salt
- ¼ tsp. Black Pepper
- ½ tsp. Sugar
- Wash & clean Green Beans, cutting into bite-size pieces. Set aside.
- Heat Olive Oil in a frying pan and begin to sauté Onions.
- Add prepped Green Beans and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add grated Tomatoes and sliced Garlic, cover with a lid and cook for 10 minutes. (You may need to add a bit of water, but no more than ¼ cup.)
- Uncover to stir and add Salt, Pepper & Sugar. Cover and continue cooking until tender but not mushy. (About 15-20 minutes, depending on bean size and your preference.)
- After removing from heat Turks set this dish aside to cool before serving. I also like it fresh and hot. Either way makes a delicious side dish!
