Turkish Coffee
- 2 Turkish coffee cups of Cold Water
- 4 heaping çay spoons of finely ground Turkish coffee
- 2 Sugar Cubes (more if you like sweet coffee)
- Place all ingredients into a small pot or cezve (copper Turkish coffee pot as in picture below) and stir well.
- Place pot over lowest possible flame.
- When the top of the coffee begins to foam spoon some of the bubbles into both now empty Turkish coffee cups.
- Place pot back on the flame.
- Remove just before it boils.
- Carefully pour the coffee into waiting cups, dividing equally.
- Sip coffee slowly, allowing grounds to settle to the bottom of the cup. Only drink about ¾ of the way to the bottom so you don’t get grounds in your teeth.
