Turkish Coffee 

  • 2 Turkish coffee cups of Cold Water
  • 4 heaping çay spoons of finely ground Turkish coffee
  • 2 Sugar Cubes (more if you like sweet coffee)

 

  1. Place all ingredients into a small pot or cezve (copper Turkish coffee pot as in picture below) and stir well.
  2. Place pot over lowest possible flame.
  3. When the top of the coffee begins to foam spoon some of the bubbles into both now empty Turkish coffee cups.
  4. Place pot back on the flame.
  5. Remove just before it boils.
  6. Carefully pour the coffee into waiting cups, dividing equally.
  7. Sip coffee slowly, allowing grounds to settle to the bottom of the cup. Only drink about ¾ of the way to the bottom so you don’t get grounds in your teeth.
