Walnut & Tomato Breakfast Dip
Ingredients:
- 1 c. Walnuts
- ¼ c. Bread Crumbs
- 3 cloves Garlic, crushed
- 3 T. Tomato Paste
- 1 ½ T. Sweet Red Pepper Paste
- ½ c. Olive Oil
- 1 tsp. Cumin
- 1 tsp. Mint
- ½ tsp. Black Pepper
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1 T. Sour Pomegranate Syrup
Directions:
- Use an onion chopper to chop the Walnuts into a fine dust.
- Add Bread Crumbs and crushed Garlic, blend.
- Add Tomato and Pepper Pastes along with Olive Oil, blend.
- Add Seasonings and Syrup, blend well.
- Arrange nicely on a serving dish and decorate with walnuts. Or put in a jar and refrigerate up to 1 week. Turks usually spread this on fresh bread or pita during breakfast, called kahvaltı.
