Turkish-style Stuffed Tortillas

  • 2 – 2 ½ c. Flour for dough
  • ½ tsp. Salt for dough
  • 1 ½ c. Water for dough

Filling Options:

  • 1 Purple Onion
  • 2-3 tsp. Oil
  • Flat-Leaf Parsley, chopped
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Red Pepper Flakes
  • Thyme
  • Butter
  • Spinach
  • Potatoes
  • Feta Cheese

 

  1. Mix together 3 dough ingredients.
  2. Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough into thin circles.
  3. To prepare Spinach Filling: sauté Oil and Onion together. Add spinach and Seasonings to taste.
  4. For Potato Filling: cook diced Potatoes, mash. Add Butter, Parsley, Salt & both Peppers.
  5. For Cheese Filling: mix Feta Cheese with Parsley.
  6. To make and cook them: place a couple spoonfuls of one of the filling mixtures onto one half of a dough circle.
  7. Fold over (will look like a half moon) and carefully transfer to a frying pan (with no oil).
  8. Fry, flip once and fry again until both sides are golden brown.
  9. Remove from pan and rub with butter. Serve hot.
