Turkish-style Stuffed Tortillas
- 2 – 2 ½ c. Flour for dough
- ½ tsp. Salt for dough
- 1 ½ c. Water for dough
Filling Options:
- 1 Purple Onion
- 2-3 tsp. Oil
- Flat-Leaf Parsley, chopped
- Salt
- Black Pepper
- Red Pepper Flakes
- Thyme
- Butter
- Spinach
- Potatoes
- Feta Cheese
- Mix together 3 dough ingredients.
- Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough into thin circles.
- To prepare Spinach Filling: sauté Oil and Onion together. Add spinach and Seasonings to taste.
- For Potato Filling: cook diced Potatoes, mash. Add Butter, Parsley, Salt & both Peppers.
- For Cheese Filling: mix Feta Cheese with Parsley.
- To make and cook them: place a couple spoonfuls of one of the filling mixtures onto one half of a dough circle.
- Fold over (will look like a half moon) and carefully transfer to a frying pan (with no oil).
- Fry, flip once and fry again until both sides are golden brown.
- Remove from pan and rub with butter. Serve hot.
