Quick & Easy Flour Cookies
- 1 c. Butter, softened to room temperature
- 1 c. Powdered Sugar, divided*
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 2 c. Flour
- ½ tsp. Baking Powder
* ½ cup Powdered Sugar goes into the cookie batter, the remaining is used to dust the tops of the cookies after removing from the oven.
- Cream together Butter, ½ cup Powdered Sugar, and Vanilla.
- Mix in Flour & Baking Powder until smooth.
- Use a small cookie baller or spoon to separate a small amount of dough and roll it between your hands until a nice smooth ball has formed. Place each rolled cookie onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Bake at 325oF for 15 minutes. At this point the cookies should be cooked through but still pale in color.
- Use a sieve to liberally dust the tops of each hot cookie with Powdered Sugar.
- Use a spatula to carefully remove cookies from the tray to a cooling rack. Note: limit touching the cookies as it will cause the Powdered Sugar to melt and rub off of the cookie.
