Citrusy Lemonade 

  • 2 Lemons, frozen
  • 2 Oranges, frozen
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 9-10 c. Cold Water
  • Mint Leaves for garnish

 

  1. Wash the oranges and lemons well, then freeze overnight.
  2. Remove fruit from freezer and cut into small wedges (without removing the peel).
  3. Place fruit pieces in an electric blender along with Sugar. Puree well.
  4. Empty the puree into a large bowl, pot or pitcher with the Water. Use a spoon to mix well.
  5. Let rest for 10 minutes in the refrigerator.
  6. Choose another large bowl, pot or pitcher to catch the good liquid as you strain the mixture through a sieve or cheese cloth. Squeeze the pulp to ensure all of the good juice gets into the liquid, then discard the pulp.
  7. Garnish with a sprig of mint and enjoy this refreshing drink!
